Default Looking for a good RPG

My brother is looking for a really good RPG to play, along the lines of the Elder Scrolls series. Doesn't need to be new as his computer is getting a bit long in the tooth (P4 2.8 @ 3.6 / X850XT PE [that used to sound so badass]). Just something that's a blast to play. Any recommendations for him?

P5K-E wifi/ E8400 @ 4.0 / Scythe Ninja Copper / 2GB Hyper-X DDR2-800 / 7800GT / Antec 1200 / Corsair HX-520
P5W DH Deluxe wifi/ E7200 @ 4.0 / 2GB Ballistix DDR2-800 / 7600GT (passive) / P180B / Seasonic SS-550HT / Zalman Reserator V2

Optiplex 755 / E2180 / 4GB DDR2 / 160GB HD / ATI HD 2400

The KOTOR games are first rate. I've played the crap out of those games (I've worn holes in the discs), and I cannot say enough good things about 'em. KOTOR will run exceptionally well on your brothers system no problem.

And hell, you can get both games for probably around $15 to $19 a piece these days.

Thanks guys! I forgot about this thread, and didn't notice it back on the board. KOTOR does rock, in fact, I think the punk still has my discs! So far he's run through Morrowind, Oblivion, Diablo II, and KOTOR. I'll tell him to pick up a copy of KOTOR II. Any other suggestions?

If he liked Diablo II, then he might like the Titan Quest games. I've played through the original and the expansion pack (Immortal Throne) several times and it has been a pretty fun (although somewhat repetitive) game. Mass Effect just came out today, you might want to look into that, it seems to be getting good reviews...

I would say Mass Effect as well, other than the fact that it might stress his system a bit too much. I'm on my 3rd play-through with the 360 version and I have to say it's just as enthralling (if not more so) as Oblivion as far as the fluidity and storyline. I'd highly recommend it if he thinks his hardware is up to the challenge.

Current Machine:
Intel E2220
Gigabyte P35-DS3L
AC Freezer 7 Pro
2GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800
EVGA 8800GT 512MB
X-Fi Extreme Gamer
Seagate 250GB SATA
WD Raptor 74GB SATA
Samsung S203B DVD+R
Silverstone SF60 Modular 600w
Antec Nine Hundred
Acer 2216Wbd 22" LCD

Mass effect would probably be rough on his hardware, especially considering he's got a 1680x1050 LCD (that he stole from me), though I might have to get it for myself!

I'll also pass on Titan Quest, as that does look entertaining.
Thanks again guys!

Another good one, that Blake had, and will consume a ton of time is the MMORPG Guild Wars and the expansions.

Of course that is if he can jump online.
