| After I install the game and click new game it goes to a grey screen, I would post a pic of the screen but have no idea how. It comes up a grey screen that says.. Gothic3.exe Caused a EXEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module <UNKNOWN> at 001B:8A36DB40 If anyone has any clue what might have caused this or how to fix it would appreciate it. "Has anyone tried running Gothic 3 on windows vista? Has anyone gotten a memory allocation error with exception_access_violation in module gothic3.exe? Aspyr says there is no support for running Gothic 3 in windows vista." ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Found this on another site Im guessing I just wasted 50 bucks from the looks of it. MB... A8N32-SLI Deluxe. CPU.. Dual Core AMD Opteron 180 2.4GHz Ram.. A-DATA Vitesta 2GB (2 x 1GB) 4gb total PSU..550W ATX2.01 (Rosewill) Graphics.. Evga 7600gt HDD.. | How do I try that? Also think I would be beter off trying the v100.64 drivers? I also am trying to find the latest drivers for my mb if you have any tips on them. From what I have read so far the dx10 isnt fully compatible with dx9 games so is there a way to uninstall dx10 and try the dx9 drivers? MB... A8N32-SLI Deluxe. CPU.. | Modder-ator | I know nVidia's drivers aren't quite up to par in Vista yet, so that may be part of your problem too. But I would guess that the game just doesn't play nice with Vista (or the other way around). |

| Looking into some other issues for a friend with Vista, just by trolling through forums and the like... it seems a common recommendation for games is to use the option "run as admin" especially games that use anti-cheat devices like punkbuster. I won't pretend to know anything about Gothic 3, but you can take the suggestion for face value. ____________________________ _= AMD 2700+ OC'd to 3200 =_ -=1GB RAM, ATI 9600XT 512MB=- -------------------------------- |
