Today we are taking a look one of GelaSkins offerings for Nintendo's DS Lite handheld gaming unit. GelaSkins are available for many gaming devices, Ipods, cell phones, laptops and more. Their slogan states, "Protection with Style. Not Bulk." As a parent of two very energetic boys, the protection means more than the bulk, since each cost more than a good ol' Ben Franklin. The boys, of course, could care less as long as it still works. Probably the most appealing thing to them is if it looks "cool." So let's give this GelaSkin a real world test and let a 9 and 6 year old run it through the gammut, shall we?

With the gaining popularity of handheld devices many of you probably have more then will fit in your pockets. Handheld devices are great for mobile entertainment on the move or while standing in line at the DMV. The problem with most handheld devices is that they are prone to scratches and dings inside your ruck sack, making them look like they just got back from a tour in Iraq. Applying a skin to your handheld device provides protection, and adds a little bit of personality to your plain Jane mobile devices. We took a closer look at the Gelaskins Golfer Skin for the PSP to see how it would stand up to a the abuse of the golf course under less then ordinary conditions.

The Gela Skins are actually really nice.....I was looking around the web at the different covers and things they can be used for, and was really impressed.

Having used cheaper skins in the past for my PSP, I was really surprised by the high quality and the outstanding graphics of the GelaSkin.

so better than skinit? I got a skinit skin right now for my HP DV9500t. Not very removable. They print theirs on 3M paper which if you try to remove it ends up tearing the adhesive part off.
