| So the other night my roommate was playing Prince of Persia Sands of Time, and on a particularly difficult area we got to wondering the backstory of the Prince. First I got onto wikipedia, found some information about the original game-he had blonde hair back then. What i discovered was rather cool and disturbing. First off the prince was just some westerner who married into the royal family of the sultan-the one from the first game, hesaved the palace or something like that and then got married to the daughter of the sultan. Then we got to thinking about where he was originally from, first it was definitely not French or spanish, so probably swedish or german or polish. This pushed us to the other information about him, he was a skilled fighter, so BAM he had to be german, this only added to him because he had blonde hair and blue eyes, SOOOOOO he was a german Arayan. Thirdly i looked at the history of persia, during a certain time between 2500-2000 BC there were three major families in power. In PoP:SoT one entire family is killed; the prince's family, so that had to mean that the Prince had married into the Aratta family. Diving a bit more into this i discovered that persians had another name Arayan. Finally we had discovered that he was a westerner of German heritage, an Arayan, and that the whole game was actually based on history. so the prince should actually be called The Arayan Prince of Arayans. Oh yea and i was just browsing around for a photoshop image and i found the Nazi picture which resembles the Hellghast image from Killzone Pentium D 915|EVGA 7050 mATX|OCZ XTC 2GB|XFX 7900GS XT|Hyper Type-R 580W|Qmicra 2 Case |

| That is positively amazing. I wonder how many more games use real life photos, stills and video for use in their games, but change it to fit the games theme. |

| It happens ALOT. i mean alot. I used to work in the industry, and let me tell you, some studios spend alot of time making sure things look real; so making stuff like that based off the past works well. The game that is the most based off real life is Americas Army. Its a shameless plug, but i was a betga tester for that game for 3 years, and got to go out in the cali desert to play with the toys in the game, and do mock house raids with SF. My handle is even in the prison painted on the wall. Bigedmond if you ever look for it. BTW, killzone was a sweet game. I have heard rumors that the next killzone will also be PC release along with its ps3 and xbox360 release. | Most of the other missions, specifically the sf missions are started with missions that sf detachments have preformed. Its not 100% true to the actual mission, but based on it, with the artist being able to add some other flare. The SF consultants can approve or deny any map by themselves before the army has a chance to do it.
