Default Free Games List (Continually Updated!)

Below is a list of 100% free games. I will be adding to this list fairly often, so check back whenever you're bored. :)

If you know of one that isn't on this list, then post a comment and I will add it.

When submitting a game...
  • Provide a link
  • Write a short description
  • If you have played the game, give a brief review and rate it on the 10 point system. If necessary, add a parental warning

After the list is large enough, I will sort the games into their appropriate categories.

Rules:
  • Don't post games that suck
  • Demos are fine, but please limit the timed demos
  • And for pete's sake, make sure that it's legal!

Games:

->Star Wars: The battles of Yavin, Endor, and Hoth - submitted by yurimxpxman
  • Relive the classic Star Wars space battles of Yavin, Endor, and Hoth.

7/10 For a free game, it is very well done, but hard it's to control

<-Harrier Strike - submitted by yurimxpxman
  • Fly your helicopter around and shoot people; it's lots of fun 8)

8/10 For a legacy GM game, it has great graphics.

PARENTAL WARNING: Numerous instances of the F word in the soundtrack

->Goomba's Revenge - submitted by yurimxpxman
  • Time to get back at Mario & Luigi for stomping on us Goombas!

9/10 Original idea, lots of fun, and good graphics, although the screen is a bit small.

->Scorched Earth 3D - submitted by yurimxpxman
  • A 3D revisitation of the classic DOS game. Destroy your friend's tank before he gets you! Fun!

7/10 Scorched Earth has been and always will be one of the funnest games around, but it's hard to get used to the 3D version.

->VDrift - submitted by yurimxpxman
  • An open-source, 3D racing game. Hot seat or multiplayer. Really cool.

8/10 Pretty darn good for open-source.

->Flyff - submitted by fps justin
  • An online rpg slightly closer the childish side.

    8/10

->Guns The Dual - submitted by polobunny
  • Very cool fighting/shooting game. You can make clans, or go like a lonewolf. Full 3D, immersive world and intense gameplay. :D

PARENTAL WARNING: Violence. Weapons, murder. No gore.

->Rakion - submitted by fps justin
  • Mass multi-online third person dualing game.

    8/10 Full Review

->Lineage II Extreme: Scions of Destiny - submitted by fps justin
  • An awesome online open role playing game. This game features a large variety of charecters and classes. This game features pvp and pking. More importantly, it features guild battles and castle sieges. The level cap is 9x. The world map is very large and contains a large amount of differnt monsters.

Right now I'm looking for a good version of Nibbles. Other than the one that comes with Fedora, I can't find any :( If anyone knows of one for Windows (and if it doesn't suck and it actually runs for more than 3 seconds), please post it :)

Thanks for the link. I can't post them until someone reviews them though. If anyone wants to help, just post your opinion in the format indicated at the beginning of this thread.

I'm downloading Knight Online right now. I'll add it to the list after I've played it a bit. If it's any good, I may write an HL review after I've finished with my current (and soon arriving) projects.

GunZ The Duel

Exceptional Variety of Online Action!

A number of different actions are available in GunZ, like the ones offered in console games or seen in movies. Ranging from dashing, wall jumps, tumbling, hanging from the walls, multi-step jumps on the walls to the combinations of actions using swords or guns, there are plenty of actions available. GunZ appeals to not only the sense of "SHOOTING" but also to the feeling of "MOVEMENTS".
Very cool fighting/shooting game. You can make clans, or go like a lonewolf. Full 3D, immersive world and intense gameplay. :D

Presentation: 8/10 Intuitive user interface, nothing more to say.

GFX: 9/10, the graphics are simply amazing for a free game. It puts alot of "last gen" games to shame. :)

Gameplay: 9/10, sometimes when the game gets action packed you might find the controls to be "quirky" but they're still very responsive. If you stop shaking everything comes back to normal. :P

Sound: 7/10, normal, I wasn't impressed or deceived.

Replay factor: -/10 Being based on a repetitive gameplay but adding a random factor such as fighting someone else, there's no such thing as "replay factor" in this game. All fights are excellent in my opinion.

Other thoughts: The game is always being developped, not a bad thing.

PARENTAL WARNING: Violence. Weapons, murder. No gore.

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

Rakion Submitted by FPS Justin

Mass multi-online third person dualing game.

Rakion is a full 3D graphic game that is close to games like gun-bound and survival project. The point of this game is to fight other users online and gain levels and buy new weapons. Like most games of this genre, it is quite up-beat. This game also features a special power up after a certain amount of kills. This game is highly skilled based although stats and levels also play a large part in this game.

Pros
-fully 3D graphics (moderate details)
-has differnt kinds of game playy
-variety of characters
-differnt views are useable with differnt types of attacks.

Cons
-easy levels at first but get longer after about level 10
-is easily hacked, although it is not impossible to kill hackers. (i've killed hackers before)

Reccomended System Requirements:

Pentium at 1.4ghz or better
256mb of RAM or more
Geforce 4 MX//Geforce 5200//Radeon 9500 or better

*This game does not suppurt TNT, Matrox or RAGE.

Graphic Detail 6/10
User Interface 10/10
Interest and Unique 8/10
Atmosphere 9/10
Weapons and Spells 7/10

Averaged Score 8/10
