Would be cool, but I highly doubt it. I don't think I've ever seen an expansion pack come out that was driven by a different/better graphics engine. They are prettymuch always based on the same technology as the original. But F.E.A.R. has a pretty advanced graphics engine, so I wouldn't be too disappointed. Maybe they'll add in HDR functionality or something.

Its a good engine, but its horribly un-optomized

It's a bloody fun game. The engine really brings videocards to their knees.

yeah it abuses my 7800GT. i cant max it and play it with acceptable frame rates 100% of the time. it will bog down quite a bit. so i have the settings backed off a bit. still looks pretty though :D

Awsome man, I'm going to add in a fear bench into the ECS reviews! FEar of all games, gets my rig stressing. The 80mm delta in my Turbocool510 goes into high gear about 3 minutes into FEAR.

@ S_I: Back when I used to run X1800XT Crossfire, FEAR maxed would bring FPS down to like 27FPS in some spots, of cousre I play with vsync so FPS never goes above 85 but 27 is a bit choppy for my likes. With the lighting, shadows and eye candy FEAR is a real bugger to run for most cards.
