Default Darkstar One

Anyone played Darkstar One or know much about it? I enjoyed playing Freelancer but was a bit disappointed in its replayability after the main campaign was finished. Darkstar One is supposed to be better than Freelancer in many ways and it can be had for pretty cheap now. Just curious if anyone has any opinion on this or wants to enlighten me with a better action RPG title?

Freelancer has awesome replayability, I still play it online across many of the custom servers. You can play vanilla, or mod the game out and make it like an entirely new game for specific servers.

As for Darkstar One, I messed around with the demo and it was quite good...not really up to par with Freelancer but worth it if you like the genre. I could never find it in stock anywhere though.

Hmm, I never thought about finding mods for Freelancer; thanks for the link!

I prefer to have hard copies, makes me feel like I actually bought something.

The mods really make a huge difference...I had one that added like 300 new ships, 200 something new weapons...You could even cruise around in a battleship and people had full PvP clans with entire fleets, it was awesome. Not to mention the servers have all new custom systems and missions, it brings out the full scale of the game. Mods are good too, look for the server based ones and then join in.
