Bioshock after install issues

I know a lot of other people were excited to play the game, even with all the issues.

I have a question though that others might be able to help me out with if they've had the same issue. I've installed the game just fine; The issue is that now that I've done that the actual game will not start... at all, no error messages no anything, just a spinning disc the Bioshock.exe starts then kills out. I've spoken with the 2kgames support staff and gone through all of there little tests, the analysis, the compatibility changes, and all the driver updates and still nothing.

Has anyone else had this issue, and if so were you able to overcome it somehow?

i had a similar problem after d/l the crysis demo. i had to delete all the previous drivers and d/l the latest one. after that, the game started up for me.
