Default Bioshock 2 installs only

Bioshock limits you to only 2 installs of the game.

More BioShock Shock: BioShock PC - You Only Install Twice (Updated) - Kotaku

That doesn't piss me off NEARLY as much as this does:

Shortscreened: BioShock's Widescreen Pissing People Off - Kotaku

WTF is up with that? I'm honestly extremely turned off by Bioshock now. The game better flippin be good enough to compensate for this BS!

At the end of the day, looking at it, you may not see a total loss of gameplay with the widescreen version - but you never know. What pisses is me off is that 2K games specifically mentioned the beauty and greatness of their widescreen implementation for the game - and now this happens. And I'd hate to have to use custom 4:3 ratio through nVidia Control Panel to make my screen 1280x1024 and then play the game full screen. Not that I won't do it if it's necessary, but obviously one would rather not.

I have a widescreen monitor, so that doesn't really bother me.

Their follow up clarifies that as long as you uninstall the game each time, you can install it as many times as you want.

Two installs, then you have to uninstall a copy to use it on another PC. If you reinstall more then twice on the same PC without uninstalling first you get the error. It's a pain, but not limiting like an actual 2-install limit.

I can understand the furstration with a two install limit if, it is a mmo game. The ability to have the program installed on differant accounts on the same computer, gives the ability to create multiple identities on a game server. This was common back in the days i was playing Freelancer. I think 6 was the most installs at one time i had on my machine. This is just my personal opinion, but i think software licensing needs an overhaul. I agree that software piracy is a problem, people should get paid for what they do. Although i have have a feeling that some of the problem is caused by restrictive licensing in the first place.

On the contrary...it's BAD for widescreen users...read the article again!

And yeah, the 2 installs only thing isn't all that nice either

Well that sucks!!! I have a wide screen myself, and thought that I would be able to see a better perspective relative to the lack of updated hardware!!! Damn!
