looks pretty cool, would be nice to get a 8800GT instead of the 8600 but hey, we will take what we can get provided it is compatible with our laptop

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Oh hell yes! My girlfriend's been plagued with a stupid intel graphics card on her laptop for years. It prevents her from playing anything worthwhile! Maybe.... just maybe... this will be the cure-all! Must look into this.

EDIT: "express card connector" : Does that mean the mini pci slot that a lot of wireless cards go in to?

Now to wait until they start shipping. Asus press release has no date or price announced. @_@

Yes, it's those little slots on the side. But the ExpressCard is different from the older PCI card slots; similar to how PCI-Express slots on motherboards are different from the PCI slots. So make sure you have a recent laptop with an ExpressCard slot and not an older PCMCIA slot for PC Cards.

Hot damn. I may not be able to afford it right now, but I'm sure glad I went with the ZD8000 a couple years ago when I bought my laptop. It having an express card slot was a major factor in the decision.

Here's some interesting information about getting the card that you want in this XG Station. ^^
It's written in technicalities so there's not quite a definite answer.

Depends on the XG Station power supply too, if it's up to the task of providing enough juice for the video card you want to put in.
