I just got the DVD edition of PREY. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, so I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on it...if anyone has it. Someone was telling me it was pretty cool, so I thought I'd pick it up. I can't wait to give it a look. If it's not fixed, then don't broke it!

The demo sucked, plus the reviews have never been glowing. By all accounts it's just a solid FPS, but nothing to get over excited about.

I enjoyed it and yes it's a FPS mainly but there are some features that make it more than that. You'll see when you have to traverse the walkways and there are a few puzzle's to solve. Not a bad game but not the best either.

I thought it was "Good". About a 7/10. There are alot of puzzles and the storyline is interesting and unique. I didn't really enjoy it because I got stuck at one part of the game. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220

I think it's a 7/10 too. It's a little different idea, but still a straight-up FPS. I didn't like it much. Quake 4 was a better FPS. - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64

An FPS with puzzles, eh? That's wierd, but I guess I'll see when I check it out. I was told by someone it was gonna be pretty cool, but maybe I'm confusing it with something else. I wish games wouldn't do puzzles, or have you do something weird in order to get to the next part of the game. I have a game called "Scrapland" that I haven't picked up in a long time, because there's this race you have to complete (read: win) in order for the story to go on. I've played some of the "Adventure Company" games, but all the puzzles and running back and forth, talking to certain people in a certain order to get to the next part got kind of old. If it's not fixed, then don't broke it!

The puzzles are kind of like the ones in Half-Life2 where you have to do something like find a code in the section your in to open a door or go thru a type of maze but most are not that complicated. I suggest you find a site with a walkthru in case you run into a place where you get stuck.

I enjoyed it once thru but I don't think it's a game I'll replay for quite some time.
