Zalman VF900 compatible with the BFG 8600GT?

I looked at the Zalman website to see whether the VF900 will work with the BFG 8600GT, but it isn't listed. Anyone know it will work?

It lists compatibility most of the other nVidia cards, but doesn't list any GeForce 8 series cards, so it's possible they just haven't updated the list. I say try sending them an e-mail asking the question and "get it straight from the horse's mouth" so to speak.

After some Googling, it looks like Inno3D and Galaxy actually make cards that come standard with a VF900 on an 8600GTS, so I would venture a guess to say it will work. But I would still try and contact Zalman to get the latest scoop.

OK, just got the VF900 today, and it fits on the BFG 8600GT (the 5th mounting hole). 10C difference in idling temps (43C to 33C with NVMonitor.) And it just looks beautiful on the blue BFG PCB.

And guess how I got it - The Newegg gift card I won from the User Guide of the Month!! Thank you HL and thank you Newegg!!!!

EDIT: this is a dual slot cooler, and for everybody's info, the nobs on the back of the card don't look like it will disable the slot above, but it may.
