Default Zalman VF1000 released!

Check this out:

Zalman VF1000

Looks like a great cooler! I haven't seen any reviews for it yet though...

Not into Newegg yet either...

Score! It fits the 8800's, my stock fan likes to get real whiny when set to high and under load. Based on past performance of the VF series, I'll be looking for this on on the Egg.

I like.... Might get this or the Thermalright HR-03 to replace my 8800 GTS stock cooler to silence this bench once and for all (almost there. Friends ask me how I got it so quiet) depending on the performance of it.

I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220

Negative. I think it's fugly too.

It looks wide enough to have been able to fit 2 fans, but I guess they wanted the fan recessed and they couldn't have done that on the sides with the heatpipes there. My first thought was that they have that huge heatsink and the fan blowing over such a small area (hence the thought about 2 fans). The 8800's take up so darn much room already that putting 2 fans on that would make it higher, which would make the 8800's even more space consuming (and boy does this thing look awefully space consuming already).

AND while the size of the area that the fan is actually blowing does have an effect, it isn't going to be that big of a deal because those copper heatpipes and fins will distribute the heat extremely well.

Zalman has put out some good cooling products, so they are likely not going to disappoint here.

I personally love the look of it; all that shiny copper!

+3 i think its ugly too and poor design, instead of having one fan they should put too fans or a airchanneling guide to the fan towards exhaust.... i hope it live up to its CPU bigbrothers with it comes to cooling quality....
