Default Zalman CNPS8000 Ultra Quiet CPU Cooler Review

Quote:
Today HardwareLogic looks at yet another cooling alternative from Zalman, the CNPS8000. While not in the same league as the CNPS9500 series when it comes to overall cooling performance, the CNPS8000 is all about silence, and it's very good at its job.
Featuring a copper base and heat pipes connected by aluminum fins and a super low profile, the CNPS8000 might be the perfect cooling solution for that SFF case or HTPC project.

Kindof disappointing performance if you ask me. Even at the full speed with "moderately loud" acoustics, it seems like this heatsink should have performed better. But alas, it still does a good job when turned down to a low nearly silent speed, so it's ok in my book. Thanks for the review Capper!

If you saw it, you'd understand why it lagged behind the others performance wise......its about 1/4 the size of the others, which are actually top of the line coolers.
When you stack it up against the average cooler, and the stock cooling solutions it faired decently. I'd liken it to the sweet AMD copper cooler that appeared toward the end with the s939

my CNPS9500 is uber silent. The only reason I know if my PC is on is one of my side fans runs about 3000 rpm. That and my lights.
