| Hey all, Got a quick question here. What cooling would you recommend for a dual dual-core system that will be used for FAH, media center duties, and heavy gaming and video editing? TIA, WhiteEagle |

| We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | Are you planning on overclocking? how is the ventilation around your system? I've been using air cooling (Big Typhoon) without any issue, 24/7 with a 3.15GHz clock speed. As long as you don't get crazy with your OC, and have good ventilation, a good cooler like the Zalman CNPS9500, Thermalright Ultra-120, or Thermaltake big Typhoon are plenty good INTEL E8400 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 4GB DDR3-1600 // Palit HD 4870 // Antec 1200 // Seagate 750GB HDD // Zalman CNPS9700 // BFG ES 800W PSU |

| Would two of those fit side-by-side? Remember, I'm talking about a dual processor system here, not just a dual-core system. The system will probably will be stuck in a computer holding spot in a desk. I doubt I'll be overclocking this system. |

| If you won't be overclocking, why not use the stock cooler? |

| Modder-ator | The Thermalright Ultra 120, Thermalright Ultra 90, or copper Scythe Katana would probbaly work with a dual processor setup since they are taller than they are wide. What processors are you gonna be running in this thing? Last edited by gvblake22; December 18th, 2006 at 13:42. |

| I'd go for an Ultra 120. Use a quiet fan and make sure you have good airflow through your system. You'll be good to go. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220 |

| i have a Zalman and it works great for me, i'm not OC'ing at the moment, but if you will consider OC'ing to the maximum potential go water cooling but i guess you have to state the financial aspect to... and of course you'll need time and space to start everything, as far as OCing is concern... i'll recommend either Zalman CNPS9500 or Big Typhoon Abit IP35-E C2D E6750 G0 @ 2.66ghz [TR Ultra120EX] EVAG 8800GTS [TR HR03] Corsair [2gbDual@800] 820GB HDD[120/200/500] Antec TP 550W Silverstone Temjin 09 Saitek Eclipse1 & Razer DeathAdder Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit |

I blame... YOU! :P And the human brain correcting those type of "errors" normally. Get the clearance between the 2 sockets then and someone can tell you if it fits. :) | ||
