| I never thought I'd even consider it, but I think it is time for water cooling. I'm perfectly stable at 4.2ghz but that takes 1.4v. She is idling around 44-45c and the load gets up to 62c when it is a warm day. I'm pretty sure we could go a lot higher and since you all know I've got this obsession with higher and higher clock speeds now, I think water cooling is the answer (for now at least :>). So I have this laudry list and I thought I'd see if it is realistic. I have 4 empty 5 1/4 inch bays. So I'd like to get something that would fit in there. I think I only need CPU cooling, so there is no need got a gpu cooler also. There is room to do a radiator/fan in the rear fan mount. Maybe it is too much to ask, but I really don't want to deinstall the motherboard to put a backplate on it. So has anyone figured out a good 775 mount for the waterblock? I saw temps in the review here on the Nautilus 500 with a 920 @4.2ghz.....load was 58c. I don't think that gives me enough room......maybe I'm wrong. Oh yeah........quick connect fittings would be almost an automatic. I guess I would lean toward a completely internal system if possible, but never say never huh. So any and all thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks as always people!! Commodore 64 overclocked into outerspace ![]() |

| Modder-ator | If you've got 4 free 5.25" drive bays in the front of your case, I say you mod a 120mm radiator to fit in there. That way you could blow cool outside air in through the radiator and then it would get exhausted out the back of the case, along with the heated air from your other air cooled components. It might raise your internal case temperature a little because it will be blowing in "heated" air, but I don't think it will make too much of a difference because you are still keeping all of your original cooling fans. |

| Silence..Or I kill you! | The biggest prob that I see with that, is if you buy the cooler and still don't get the temps your wanting.........now your stuck with cooler that your not going to use unless you build another system. |

| Modder-ator | If that $150 is really burning a hole in your pocket, you could go with something like the Swiftech H20-120 Premium 120mm water cooling kit... Personally, I am not really a big fan of water cooling. It might cool well in most cases, but it costs so much and is such a hassle to try and set up and maintain. But then again, I've never tried it, so I could be way off base... |

| T-Rex | What if you spend $200.00 on a water cooling setup and don't get the temps you wanted? ;D |
