Now that I have a processor that can hit 3+ GHZ, I think its time for me to get a serious heatsink. After looking at alot of the heavy hitters like the Big Typhoon, Ultra-120, Ninja, etc. I've decided that the Scythe Infinity looks like the best choice for me. The heatsink would definately need to be able to handle 1.5 vcore. With my current setup: Thermaltake Tower 112 w/ Panaflo Highspeed 92mm I get a load temp of 46C/43C (Core 1 and Core 2). This is with a vcore of 1.3500v and a clock frequency of 2.8 GHZ. The Scythe Infinity I would probably pair it up with one of the best fans I have ever used: Panaflo NMB-MAT 120mm Fan Has anybody here have this cooler or have an opinion on it? Any suggestions would be great. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220

The VX is supposed to be released but I haven't seen it anywhere in the stores. The people who own the stores just don't realize how much better the new mounting system is. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220

Which Zalman Cooler do you have? I know the new CNPS9500 is pretty good. Unfortunately I just want a monster cooler. I don't need quiet. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220

I'm not sure of the #s but it's similar to this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118115 but it's only copper fins in the middle with aluminum for the rest of the way around.

Oh yea. Thats a pretty decent sink if you don't intend on overclocking too much. I have a modified one in my matx rig. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220
