Default Rearranging the Armor

I've never liked how the CPU fan on my XP-120 was located so closely to my exhaust fan. It seemed like either: the CPU fan would suck air away from the exhaust fan, thereby recycling hot air or; the exhaust fan would recude the amount of airflow in the CPU fan, thereby reducing efficiency. This is a before picture:

Either way, those two fans being so close would at least cause turbulence that would reduce the efficiency of both fans. In the interest of maximized cooling efficiency I have acted to resolve this.

What I decided to do was to move the tooless fan bracket from the inside of the case to the outside. I then had to cut the power wires, run them through one of the watercooling ports, and splice them back together. The result was a decrease in the CPU idle temperature by 2C. Not too bad a result for 5 minutes work!

Well thats different...
Good job. Glad to see all worked out for you. You might want to try cutting out the grill. They look a bit restrictive , cutting down airflow.

Looks well planned out now. Did you put a fan grill on that external 120?

I didn't, but no one else comes in my room, so I just have to make sure I'm careful when I mess with cables in the back
thanks for the kind words everyone =)
