Default North Bridge Ghetto Mod
After I installed my water cooling system, the NB on my board was getting no airflow, and PC Wizard 2007 was reporting the Nb at 99C!! I decided to ghetto mod a fan on to it, so it would come down to at least reasonable temps.

LOL - Gotta do what ya gotta do! Nice improv on the retainer.

If you have a little skill with a set of needle nosed pliers, use
a length of metal hanger wire for a more permanent (and not so ghetto)
solution.

Could you maybe go into a little more detail about the permanent solution? I would be interested in doing this, but I'm not exactly sure what you mean.

Nothing wrong with ghetto mods. I duct taped my mic to the side of my monitor so I could talk on skype while playing CSS.

You never said what the temperature drop was from doing the mod.

Nothing like a good ghetto mod...I needed to manage the cables in my case, but no zip ties or sticky mounts. The solution? An hour and a good roll of masking tape, brought my temps up about 5 degrees.

From 99C to ~60C. Very good, IMO. Still a hot little chip, though.
