Default My latest cooling upgrade!!

Well my computer spits out alot of hot air (obviously), and with my 780 watt reciever toasting away my room gets HOT. Which just makes the computer and reciever hotter. It's a vicious cycle. And the thermostat for the central air is a few rooms away and does not care about me. So I bought this:

It's a 6000 BTU unit with digital temperature control, sleep timer, etc. It's even got a remote! I set it to 60 and just leave it on. My CPU temp has already dropped a couple degrees C in the last 20 minutes!

I need one of those.
No wait, i'm getting one of those SATURDAY. I'm going for the big ones, something like 8000BTU should be enough for my small room. Hello 64F! :P

haha yeah man. I've been surprised. My room is relatively small, and so far this unit has been able to keep the ambient room temp at about 62! :)
I actually got this at Lowes. I hope it doesn't freeze over!!! =(
And as far as the energy, the Energy Guide said it would only cost $33 a month, so no worries leaving it on all the time!

Nice now you'll be nice and chilly but those things can kill your electric bill so use it sparingly..........
