Default CPU temp

Can anyone give some guidance on on what my max CPU temp should be. Can't seem to find any specs with my guides. My system runs between 36 on start and maximizes at about 45 degrees. Is that normal? The case temp usually runs about 2 degrees cooler than the CPU.

Your temps seem pretty good. Is this with the stock heatsink?

Personally, i would never allow my CPU to go higher than 50C.

those are very good temps for stock. For AMD processors I recommend keeping it under 55C under load....although the thermal thresh hold is much higher

As Capper said, those temps are great for stock. I have another question though, i'm just curious but are you using the stock pad, Arctic silver 5, or another paste?

aww booo!!!! Go look at my thermal paste guide. http://hardwarelogic.com/news/130/AR...006-02-12.html

Its a great guide ( easy for me to say that) and should get you on your way. Thermal paste installation is extremely simple now that the A64s have an IHS. Removing your stock pad is going to be a totally different story...

you might want to replace the stock cooler all together if your real keen on keeping cool. (no pun intended)

My CPU hasn't got above 45 degrees w/the stock config. Will probably leave unless heat begins to be an issue.
