Default Corsair Nautilus500 Water Cooling Kit Review

Quote:
Since its adoption into the mainstream, watercooling has always been about compromises. On one hand, if you wanted the best performance possible you more than likely had to look to custom kits from a boutique water cooling manufacturer. These custom kits allowed you to pick and choose the best possible part for each step in the water cooling "loop". Typically hard to set up and expensive, they are definitely geared toward the enthusiast crowd.

On the other hand, those that wanted the advantages of water cooling, but who either on a budget, or not so mechanically inclined were for the most part forced to look at prefabbed kits. The problem with these kits was that as well as they fit the description of "budget" and "easy to install", their performance in the end was not much better than one could typically achieve with high end air cooling.

you can use any block you want, as BBMod's said, just make sure you are using a 3/8 block

Looks easy for sure. Think i'll get one at work see if people catchup on it, since it's fairly inexpensive.
Is the fan noisy? I bet it's not really noisy seeing at how much RPM it turns, but never know.

We don't use the "****", "****", or any other variation around here......thats the first thing that chases off new people wanting to ask question or trying to learn.
As to the fan, you can hear it, but if you have any other fans in your system it isn't really noticable..... I think the Nautilus is a damn fine cooler for the price and ease of installation
