Default Cooler Master Sphere CPU Cooler Review

We are no stranger to Cooler Master products here at HardwareLogic, and when we previously reviewed the Cooler Master Gemin II, we were not left disappointed. We picked apart the Gemini II to verify that the cooler, with a bulky heatsink and two huge fans, was not just some marketing gimmick (it wasn't). Today, we are taking an equally discerning look at the Cooler Master Sphere. This cooler not only has a spherical look that's anything but commonplace, but is designed with a unique vortex fan as well. Stay with us as we trek through these uncharted, murky waters to find out if this cooler is as efficient as it is touted to be.

Great review Matt. That is one strange fan! And one strange design...

WBaS, I agree, that is one ugly cooler...

Nice review.

I'd be curious to see if a standard fan could mount on the top, and if it could, how would it effect the cooling? I'd try with the fan air direction both up and down.

It kind of reminds me of one of those Gerbal balls... u know where you put the gerbal inside to run round and it just rolls all over the floor? Then the next thing you know it poops and it's tumbling all round inside while it runs around happy as can be.

I got one of the bigger balls for my guinea pig, i throw it in there whenever i need to change his bedding. Guess the diff is my pig just literally sits there and poops in the ball. I swear i left him in there back when i was in college for like 3 hours cause i was in class. I threw a treat bar in there, when i came back he was in the exact same place just half the bar gone and 7 pieces of poop in the ball lol.
