Default Asus Silent Knight II CPU Cooler Review

Just as there are two basic types of people, the enthusiast peripheral market is made up of leaders and followers. Not content to mingle among the latter, Asus often leads the pack with innovative designs, and this week we're focusing exclusively on three very different CPU coolers from Asus. Today we get medieval with the Silent Knight II.

Great review!

The idle temps threw me for a loop being about the same as Intels stock cooler but seeing the decent under load temps, this seems at least one step above stock but nowhere near the power of more capable coolers that can be had for the same price bracket.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Very well written review! Shame that the Silent Knight wasn't up to task. Anyways, why does this pic make me feel like I'm looking up someone's skirt?

actually it looks like the base surface isn't well polished. I wonder if lapping would improve the cooling performance and how much

I was about to say the same thing about the base.Looks like they ran it across a belt sander with 80grit.As far as looks go,I think it looks inovative...but looks can kill.I'm going to be doing another build soon for my son...so im shopping.Nice write up!
