Far, far from it. Take a look here:
Newegg.com - CPU Cooler, Ball CPU Cooler, Sleeve CPU Cooler, CPU Cooling Fans, Quiet CPU Cooler, AMD CPU Cooler, Intel CPU Cooler
They all have different designs and functions, each one with the goal of trying to cool better then the other competition. Some are really good, some are better then stock, others are garbage. You've got a lot that goes on with a cooler...temps versus other coolers, size and weight, noise, installation, compostion (materials, heatpipes), and others. It's a fairly large market.

All depends on your socket bracket. Each socket has a bracket, or different way to install the cooler. Intel currently uses a push pin design for their LGA 775 slot, and AMD uses clips for the AM2+ platform. You're using a Socket 478, so if you go browsing for coolers just check to see if it's compatible for that socket. Most coolers are univerisal and include hardware to be mounted on a variety of different sockets.

cured, that is a decent cooler but because it is so spread out, it is more likely to bump into something so it is better to go with a 9500/9700 instead of the 7700.

for cured:

for RAID:
Newegg.com - ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink - Retail
or
Newegg.com - ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler - Retail

Thanks HL and Corsair!
