| In case you haven't heard, XFX has now changed their Double Lifetime warranty. They now allow installing aftermarket coolers and overclocking. Your warranty will not be void, unless there is physical damage. Such as, knocking off a capacitor, or water damage. Much like the warranty eVGA offers. XFX - Support ![]() I Like Watercooling. | I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | I really like that they're following EVGA's lead in officially supporting common practices among end users (swapping the heatsink/fan assembly, overclocking). I'm also a fan of being able to pass the warranty on to a second owner, which makes for a nifty marketing bullet when re-selling a card to fund that new upgrade. What I don't like is that they're also following EVGA's lead in requiring you to register within 30 days, the consequences of not doing so drops that sexy warranty down to a paltry 1 year. These type of red-tape practices are bunk, IMO. **Waits for Capper to chime in with his recent cross-shipment miss-experience...** |

| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | As privacy continues to be a growing concern, users should never be forced to submit personal information in advance to be eligible for a product's backing. It'd be one thing to require registration prior to (or while) filling out an RMA request, but it's quite another to issue such a harsh penalty for failing to register within 30 days of purchase. It's not difficult to find upset/disappointed users who have been burned by this type of red tape, and as previously alluded to, wait for Rich to comment on the "type of service" he very recently received (I was surprised by amount of hoops XFX gave him). Stand behind your product with no strings. That's one of the reasons why I'm so high on BFG when it comes to the big three that offer lifetime backings (no receipt? no registration? no problem). Unfortunately, they also tend to cost more than the other two, and it'd be comforting to have some of their practiced policies put down in writing. |

| Silence..Or I kill you! | I have to agree with you One4!!! BFG probably has the best of the best when it comes to the lifetime warranty!!! I had to send a card in, and received the new one before I even sent the bad one in, no questions, no problems!!!! |

| Modder-ator | Oh wow, that is great news. When I saw the thread title I was worried they were going the way of ATI and reducing their warranty, but thankfully I was wrong! XFX continues to impress me more and more. |
