| Is there a big difference between these two cards? Right now I have a X800XL but I found out that I could flash a X800Pro with the BIOS of a XT PE and run it at the same speeds. |

| The only x800 pros that a nearly gaurenteed to unlock are VIVO x800pro edition ones. I had an Asus x800 pro vivo, i didnt flash it with the XT PE bios, but i flashed with a moded bios to enable the 16 pipes. From their i was able to OC it to nearly x850 XT PE speeds. If you have a regular x800 pro, do you know if it is laser cut or not?. Most VIVOs are not laser cut and can be easily unlocked Alot of non vivos have a wire in the PCB laser cut preventing them from being unlocked. Although some did. | Well I'm going to build a new pc in late '07, so I'm going to stick with my pc till then and want to get the one of the best AGP cards. But If a X800XT PE will perform similar to my X800XL, I'll stick with that. |

| X800XT > X800XL.. not a very big difference, but it's there. Just make sure your X800 Pro is a VIVO model. Easier way to tell if its vivo or not. Does it have the ATI rage theater chip on the back? Opteron 64 165--1.5GB DDR--ECS KA1 MVP(thanks HL!)--x1800GTO 256MB--Seagate 320GB SATA--Antec 550 Watt--Antec P180 | |
