| If you need a BS video card to fill that void PCI-Express slot in your PC, then this is a deal worthy of looking at. Check it out. Thought it'd be worthy to see if someone wanted one. If you don't know what Woot is, they sell a random, different item every day and just for that day at a price significantly lower than a new price. Is this in the right place BTW? Woot : One Day, One Deal (SM) - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 | ||||||||||||||

| Is that like a DX7 card or something? Prolly not much better than onboard, right? Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 | DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL | 2GB G.Skill 800MHz | EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB | Silverstone Decathlon 650W | Western Digital 250GB SATA II | ||||||||||||||

| Incorrect. The X600 is from the mid-range lineup of ATI's first generation PCI-Express cards (with the X300 at the low-end and the X800 at the high-end) and and features DX9 capability with PixelShader model 2.0b. This is definitely not a gamer card, but would probably at least ply some old games like original Command and Conquer titles and such. I would consider this a definite step up from most any onboard video, but not by much. | ||||||||||||||

| would free up the ram thats being used by onboard graphics for a folding machine rather nicely. $20 makes it one heck of a deal imo E8400 @ 4ghz (500x8 @ 1.35v) Gigabyte X38-DQ6 2x2GB G-Skill DDR2 1000 @ DDR2 1000 5-5-5-15 2.1v 2 Sapphire ATi Radeon HD3870 in Crossfire Seagate 7200.11 500GB 32MB Cache HDD Audigy 2 ZS Gamer Silverstone DA750 Samsung Dual Layer DVD Burner Lian Li G70WB Thermochill PA120.3|Swiftech Storm Rev.2|Swiftech MCP 655 | ||||||||||||||

| It is a nice bump over onbaord video and offers a chance for some real 3D at low rez. I would not put this forward as a great gaming card but for $20 in a machine using onbaord video this is a good buy. | HAI GUYZ! Ok anyways, its a decent deal, would be good for turning an older PC into a media center or something, and you'll be able to play more than the original C&C on it :P Just as a sidenote, brown - I have 2 woot monkeys, the woot monkey shirt and a motion detecting pig from woot :D Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 Conroe @ 2.80GHz Cooler Master GeminII - Thanks Rich and HL! | Welcome back Panda Man! ![]() Yeah, I guess you would be able to play more than just original C&Q games, but I wouldn't expect too much out of it. Looks like Half Life 2 and Doom 3 are barely playable at 800x600 on the PRO version (which undoubtedly has higher clock speeds than the SE version for sale on Woot). I can't seem to find any specific information regarding the actual clock speeds of the X600SE, but I would say it is somewhere between onboard video and a plain vanilla GeForce 6600. | ||||||||||||||
