That's right! the X1950GTs are here! I wonder how these will compete against a 7900GS or 7900GT.

Same dang card as an X1950 Pro, just a little slower clock speeds. I don't understand it, this card is so close performance-wise to the Pro that there is going to be very little to separate them. A pretty useless launch if you ask me (unless AMD plans to replace the Pro with the GT for whatever reason).

Yeah, by like $10 - $20 maybe. They just seem so close together, I don't see why they even bothered.

You'd think there would be a greater price difference between the Pro and the GT. With ATI's 1950Pro going for $229, that would be a price difference of $50. So perhaps when the other manufacturers get the GPU's, they will offer them at a price of around $149 or so. To really compete and make that release profitable, they'll have to lower the price to move them over the Pro versions.
