vista x86 ati drivers

I have the catalyst 7.4 vista 32bit drivers installed but when i try to load games it will say no drivers detected/out of date.
Whats the deal?
are there any thirdparty drivers out for ati vista/32bit?

Is it safe to assume you have the 32-bit version of Windows Vista? Is this for the X850XT PE in your sig? Is this the driver you tried? Have you tried reinstalling the drivers?

Yes 32bit vista running the x850xt pe.
and yes those are the drivers i have installed.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers about 2 or 3 times - and i used driver cleaner.

Just to make sure you are going into the device manager and uninstalling the card from there right?

i uninstalled it using the modify/remove option, through atis own prompt.
i guess i have to uninstall it from the device manager.

I got a prompt when installing games too... Just ignore it, it works fine.

i tried the ATI drivers that Asus has been releasing for the new "Vista compatible" hardware.

and

XG WarCat 7.4 Vista 32bit

both gave me alittle more fps in games but nothing amazing, barely playable. Also some games still won't load because it says Unsupported Pixel Shader 2.0

Are there any other better drivers out?
