Okay i probably getting my new video card tommorow and i want to ask if what or which video card is better. My plan is to get this=http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=20496&manufacture=eVGA&promoid=1001
but i also wanted to see if this was better than 7900GS

one more question i just looked at a site called anitec and i saw 7600GT and i compared it to 7900GS and looks like the 7600GT is better than GS is it??

NO! A 7600GT will not perform better than a 7900GS!!! Maybe you are thinking of a 7600GS?

Here's the breakdown from worst (left) to best (right)
7600GS : 7600GT : 7900GS : 7900GT : 7950GT : 8800GTS : 8800GTX

I know I missed a few in there, but for simple purposes that a kindof how the current nVidia video card lineup looks. On the AMD ATI side, it looks like this...
X1600 : X1650 : X1900GT : X1950 GT : X1950Pro : X1900XT : X1900XTX : X1950XTX

Again, there are a few models here and there I didn't specify just to keep things somewhat simple. As for your original post, the 7900GS is a great card, much better than an X1650 of any kind as well as a 7600GT. The 7900GS is about on par with an X1950GT with the X1950Pro just barely ahead.
