| Modder-ator | Ok, so I bought my first high-end video card and was excited about the "VIVO" feature (Video In, Video Out). But I can't figure out how to get it to work! I tried using a Playstation 2 as the input video to display on my monitor using the S-video to Component Video adapter that came bundled with the card to connect to the Component Video (yellow coax cable) from the PS2. Shouldn't this work or am I on the totally wrong thought process here? :? |

| T-Rex | You're a ******. :P No really, have you installed the needed drivers? Even though it might not show in the device manager, you have to install the input/output drivers. For Geforce 6/7 series, Nvidia WDM here. For ATI, ATI WDM here. Then you need an application that will support the VIVO. I suggest Dscaler, a very nice realtime de-interlacer and whatnot. You can get it here. |

| Modder-ator | Thanks polo. And yes, I am a ****** to this stuff :P I have an ATI card (X1900GT), but I have installed the latest Catalyst 6.8 driver. Are you talking about a driver different from this? The link in your post doesn't work right. What do I need to configure in the driver software to get it to regognize the incoming video source correctly? |

| The latest Cat 6.8's should have installed the WDM drivers for you.. it does so for my X800XL. All you need is software to display whatever's coming through the cable... I used ATI MMC to test out my VIVO functionality. @ Blake, dunno if you encode much video, but the Avivo Encoder is very good. You can cross-code stuff from mpeg1 to mpeg2, WM files types, all kinds. The MMC is what you probably need for the PS2.....
