Default SLI/TEMPS?monitor/OCing

I was just curious when it comes to overclokcing video cards, if you have 2, does a program like ATITOOL or RIVTUNER overclock both cards at the same time when running in SLI? I have no intension of overclocking them, im more so just curious. FOr example in ATITOOL only 1 vid card shows up, and only 1 temperature reading when you go to monitor it... Is the program taking the average of both?? Nividias monitoring shows 2 gpu temps...

thanks guys....

In nVidia's nTune, goes both GPU's show up in the " Adjust GPU Settings" section?

well, when I select GPU settings, there is only 1 memory and only 1 clock bar to adjust.... but under the fan control, if I choose Direct fan, I have 0 and 1.... also if I were to change either of the settings, there is no "test" function anymore??? there used to be a button to test the gpu if you changed the settings.....

Hmm, I believe if you OC with nTune, it OC both GPU's at the same time........... Don't know about ATITool, though, sorry.

no worries had no intesions of doing the cards, but i was wondering, would like to know how to check though incase it does happen someday...... not that oc'ing just one card would be good anyways lol........ I do have the second card in and everything seems stable... also got teh computer upto 3.4ghz by increasing the cvolts alittle... ran for 2hrs without a problem... would do more but t-storms in the areas..

Rivatuner is probably the most popular overclocking utility for nVidia cards, you can use it with confidence (even if for just monitoring temps).
