| I'm looking to upgrade my video card soon and would like your opinions on what would be the best card for my system, listed below. I'm looking for a DX10 card. |

| I'm not sure exactly but I want the best card this system will handle with the existing components. I might build a better computer next year but for now I just want to upgrade the video card. |

| Silence..Or I kill you! | Yea, and not only that, but what are you playing that will require DX10? the 8800GT is a great solution, and plays most of the games at a very high setting! Be sure to get a G92 core, or the new ATI 4850 is awesome also!!! |

| Sweet. I don't know I might up the PS if it's not enough for the card since I could reuse it in a new build later probable. But from what I see and read on the 4850 review here it sounds like a card that might work well for me too. |

| Modder-ator | I've got a 24" LCD and will probably opt for a 4850 myself. The 4870 just seems like its not quite worth the extra $100 over the performance of the 4850. The GTX 260 is the next step up and probably the more worthy choice for 1920x1200 resolution, but at $400, it's just too expensive. Overall, if you can swing $200, I bet you would be very happy with a 4850 (maybe go with Visiontek because they offer a lifetime warranty). Otherwise, if $200 is out of your budget, the good ol' 8800GT or 9800GTX cards are still both good options. |

| Silence..Or I kill you! | The only thing that I see from the specs, is you have a Nvidia Nforce motherboard, and may want to look into an Nvidia video card. I know that there will be a ton of members that will chime in and say that it doesn't matter what card you run, but it sure seems that the Nvidia cards seem to run a little better on the Nvidia motherboards! Maybe look at getting a 8800gt, or 8800GTS 512 g92 card, they have come down big time in price ![]() |
