| Download here I don't know if anyone has ever used this simple demo program, but I'll post it anyway. It showcases the DX9 capabilities. It lets you choose different materials, environments, etc... I personally like the skull model: ![]() Still amazes me how far graphic cards have come, in being able to render something like this in real time. || AMD Athlon64 3800+ Venice | Asus A8N5X s939 | OCZ Premier PC3200 Du-Ch 1GB | Sapphire X1600Pro 512MB PCI-e | 1xWD 80Gb & 1xWD 250Gb Sata(s) | Antec SLK3800B Case | Enermax NoiseTaker 485W || |

| Modder-ator | Yeah, RTHDRIBL is a great little app. I use it to check for video card artifacts from an overclock and monitor temperatures at full load. Have yet to see anything heat up a video card as fast as this thing does! |

| Makes me wonder why I bought a SM3.0 video card in the first place, apparently HDR and all the visual bling is possible with the older cards. | It produces some great effects. The reason you can't see things like this in games as easily is because of the sheer multitude of objects and effects being rendered simultaneously. When that one object and a few HDR effects are all that is being rendered, even an older low end card can handle it. But when you have hundreds, sometimes thousands of objects, textures, light sources, particle effects, and everything else you see in games, it gets exponentially more complex to render. ![]() P5K-E wifi/ E8400 @ 4.0 / Scythe Ninja Copper / 2GB Hyper-X DDR2-800 / 7800GT / Antec 1200 / Corsair HX-520 P5W DH Deluxe wifi/ E7200 @ 4.0 / 2GB Ballistix DDR2-800 / 7600GT (passive) / P180B / Seasonic SS-550HT / Zalman Reserator V2 Optiplex 755 / E2180 / 4GB DDR2 / 160GB HD / ATI HD 2400 Dual-ISP Network aim: drewandnotu | Skype: drew-and-not-u ![]() Last edited by drew and not u; December 11th, 2006 at 13:22. |
