| a couple of years ago, $500 got you the top of the line gpu. last year, it sky rocketed to insanity, over $800 for the ultra when it first hit the streets. why? because there was no competition in the high end from the red team. now we're back down to $600 for the top card and that could go down further if AMD decides to lower their high end card. | ||||||||||||||

| I'm Diggin it!
| Hey, when Intel breaks in with their new line up of higher end GPU offerings, things will really get competitive then! And prices will be really low! Now all we gotta do is help Rich get on Intel's review list. These things are supposed to start coming out by the end of the year from Intel and we all know Intel and Rich hate each other. ![]() Q6600@ 3.2GHz w/ CNPS9700 | EVGA 780i | 2Gb Corsair DDR2-800 | EVGA 9800GTX 512 Video | 1x WD 640Gb HDD, 2x Seagate 400Gb HDD, 1x250Gb WD | 2x Samsung SH-203B Opticals | Antec 900 | ABS/Tagan BZ700 700W PSU | ||||||||||||||

| It's about time the boys in green got a decent run for their money (our money? xD) again. Finally, WE win for the first time in quite awhile instead of being stuck under nvidia's thumb on pricing. There's much to be said for healthy competition. ![]() Current Work In Progress: Intel E2200 @ Stock Gigabyte P35-DS3L AC Freezer 7 Pro 2GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800 EVGA 8800GT 512MB X-Fi Extreme Gamer Seagate 250GB SATA Samsung S203B DVD+R Corsair VX550 Antec Nine Hundred Acer 2216Wbd 22" LCD | ||||||||||||||
