pre overclocked cards

im buying a new PC soon, and am looking at EVGA 8800's, just wondering if you buy one of the KO ACS3 Editons, do you have to moniter the temperatures and stuff like if you had overclocked it yourself?

You should always monitor you temps, especially if you are overclocking.
I always advise against overclocking video cards, they are extremely sensitive, and those overclocked cards are already pushed to their safest limit. you'll also see little gain from overclocking a video card, and cards that high quality (8800 Series especially) your brain can't even tell the difference between 60FPS and 64 FPS
