Default nVidia 8800GT vivo

Is the 8800GT VIVO? Everything points to it not being VIVO. :S
I'm currently using my x1900XT VIVO functions to play my video games on my monitor (without lag, might I add) and frankly, I'm not all that encompassed if I need to buy a TV tuner for my gaming needs since those seem to be hit and miss for gaming without lag. :/

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

VIVO is predominately used with ATI cards, I've come across a few ancient Geforce 4s with it, and more recently a couple of low end FX 5 series, but from the 6 series up it's been HDTV-out and S-Video. VIVO is considered outdated with current technology, and the most powerful card I know of that supports it is the HD 2900XT.

Grr, nVidia is lame.
Edit: My Gigabyte 6600GT SilentPipe was VIVO, though. :P

I think you're out of luck man, I haven't seen anything that even hints the 8800GT might have VIVO capability...

at least with the latest ATI/AMD AVIVO offerings it allows for a higher resolution output than the nvidia current offerings... so it is just a matter of what you prefer.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I prefer a card that performs better.

I'll get a TV tuner I guess. ;P
