...especially since it's 256bit memory and not 128bit as the GT and 2x the memory size. why do they even make them with 128bit?

Yeah, that's ridiculous. I guess they want to really entice you to move up to the Ultra. But yeah, a 512MB, 256-bit card for $180, that's great stuff! And that's the suggested retail price too. It will can probably be had for $175 or less online after a week or two.

If the information is solid, I will most definitely be getting the Ultra. That should bring the price of my upcoming build down below the $1500 mark...man am I excited.

Bear in mind that these specifications may not be confirmed. In fact, I read something about ALL 8600 cards being 128-bit and the spec table was bogus.

I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220

if that was true, I wouldn't even consider getting any of them...when 320bit is available. I wonder if there will be an 8800GT available in the future. same as the GTX but less memory and clock speed for much less of a price... that would be the best choice

i meant by the time my birthday comes around eVGA should have done something exciting with the line, like they always do, and my 7900gt will be a year old. I also have a special purpose in mind for it, so it won't go unused, and i wont feel bad about getting a new card =P
also i am praying someone will have patched DX10 to xp pro, cause im not a vista fan
