i guess they are hoping that this will tie them over until the R600 video cards come out. This is prolly a good way of testing weather or not DDR4 will be a large advantage or not. Interesting though.

Nice cooler ATI. Hopefully it's not anywhere NEAR as loud as the hair-dryer on current X1900.

How much or a performance gain will X1950XTX offer over current X1900XTX, probably not that much, MAYBE 10%(and that's generous).

Though I am really diggin' that new cooler.

Which in turn looks a lot like Arctic Cooling's Silencer series.

Yeah, that new cooler looks MUUCH better than what has previously been produced by ATI; I like it!

But I have a feeling it is going to take more than a revised cooler and GDDR4 memory to make this card worth the cost; I'd wait for whatever is next...

Doh, didn't think about 'em. Indeed. Well if it gives better performance, or at least no more whining, i'm all for it on future cards. Even if that means the price go up a bit.

i'd have to agree. I think they are just gonna release this card to test DDR-4 and to create a bit of hype amongst ppl that aren't as educated in terms of computer parts.

Upgrades to things like DDR-4 gives me a warm feeling inside. Hopefully, all the next gen DX 10 with SM 4 and unified shaders cards will have DDR-4.

Question: is there DDR-5?

GDDR4! Remeber the G! DDR4 and GDDR4 are very very different in terms of densities, although GDDR3 is based of DDR2, and DDR3 is based of GDDR3
