Lol I'm using a P4 3.0GHz, 384MB DDR RAM, an old DELL motherboard, 40GB hdd - not too shabby, except for the fact that the machine is on it's side and the heatsink RESTING on top of the CPU! Definitely ghetto.

BTW, seems like nVidia finally decided on a new release...been a while for the 8 series.

After reading your post, I edited mine to reflect both flavors and to point out this is for Vista users only. Will be interesting to see if it improves DX10 gaming any. Like World in Conflict.

Damn it, no new drivers for XP...

Good point. World in Conflict was released a few days ago wasn't it? I think I might pick it up tommorrow and try it out. My system - for whatever reason - was having serious issues with the demo. We'll see what 4gb of memory and new OS and drivers does in terms of performance.

Once I get my main rig up and running again, I'll post some WIC demo numbers with the new drivers and see if they've improved any. I had a sudden power supply failure tonight. and am in the middle of raping one computer to fix this one. So far, the Antec 500W I put in here wouldn't run this thing.

PFFT!

Fine, don't even mention that they've released new Linux AND Solaris drivers.

Unix Drivers Portal Page

Linux x86 100.14.19

Linux AMD64 100.14.19

Solaris x64/x86 100.14.19

These are important...needed for binary driver compatibility with Xorg 7.3

Phfffffttt. I'm a Windows geek. Not a cross-species geek.

Well, at least until MicroStuffed pisses me off too badly about forcing updates without my knowing.

Then you'll only see me making posts about Alt-OS stuff.
