It doesn't have to be very hot to scald your skin or give you a minor burn. I know I've about burned myself on heatpipes before, so I don't think this is going to be anything extremely high. 60*C is nothing for a GPU and that equates to about 140*F, which is pretty damn hot. Bump that up to the higher end of about 75*C or 80*C and you have between 167*F and 176*F. This is getting close to the boiling point of water, I think you can cook lots of food at these temperatures!

I'm sure the 9800GX2 is going to be really hot, but not some thermal meltdown type of scenario...

Just for $h!ts & Giggles, I looked up the minimum safe internal temperatures for cooked meats here...
Quote:
USDA Recommended Safe Minimum Internal Temperatures

* Steaks & Roasts - 145 °F
* Fish - 145 °F
* Pork - 160 °F
* Ground Beef - 160 °F
* Egg Dishes - 160 °F
* Chicken Breasts - 165 °F
* Whole Poultry - 165 °F
How do you like your steak sir?
