| HL's Technomancer | Can't read Taiwanese but the pics speak loud enough First Look: ATI RadeonHD 3800 If we can go by this it's just a R600 refresh with half the bus width and some new features. Makes more sense to name it HD2700 if you ask me. Last edited by gvblake22; October 26th, 2007 at 04:42. Reason: cleaned up link text |

| socket 939 junkie | should actually be the same if not better. the reason why the HD2900 has a 512bit memory bus was to offset the fact that it has a bug in the core when it comes to AA/AF hence why it takes such a massive hit when you enable those options. RV670 should fix that bug which would make a 512bit bus an unnessesary price increase. (costs more for a 512bit bus compared to a 256bit due to increased complexity) also since the RV670 is on the 55nm process, amd/ati should be able to ratchet up clock speeds to negate any percieved performance loss due to a 256bit bus. | Colonel Calamity | try this LINK The ATI RadeonHD 3870,3850 and requires the use of version 8.43 driver. Then there will be the RV670 Pro AGP slot available in the ATI RadeonHD 3850 version, coupled with the bridge chip approach. But so far, AMD products is keeping the new information confidential. (slight editing to make it a bit more readable) ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. | Colonel Calamity | lets try this, direct translation: In an article entitled "AMD new card in the band King - RV670XTX exposure!" Let us recognize that about a month ahead of AMD in the bands showed that the new card, now finally released on the original family of related RV670 final models and specifications, and also took the opportunity even related Logo listed in conjunction with the new changes. ATI RadeonHD 3800 list of key characteristics With 66.6 billion transistors number of RV670 family, GPU models recognized as RV670 XT and Pro, will be ATI RadeonHD 3800 as a Model to abolish the past XTX, XT Pro and the naming method (that is, before the news identify the parties rumor is nosy news), respectively ATI RadeonHD representatives RV670 XT 3870,3850 and RV670 Pro, product positioning at the same time representatives of 70 high-end performance in the market, compared with 50 in the band market, according to a number of third-party, 30 is also known as the mainstream market to use. According to information, we present the card should be made for ATI RadeonHD 3850. ATI RadeonHD 3870,3850 and requires the use of version 8.43 after the driver, in order to take care of now still insist on the use of the AGP platform users, and then there will be using the RV670 Pro AGP slot available inference should be its GPU ATI RadeonHD 3850, coupled with the bridge chip approach to achieve, But so far, AMD products for the new information is still confidential. | Wow, that was a little fast for a new line? According to those specs, there's a lot different about it... the ones that pop out to my eyes are HDMI support, DX10.1, and PCIe 2.0. It also brings back quad-GPUs apparently. The thing I don't see in the pics are a HDMI port. Lol, I think I'm on like Catalyst 7.5... I should update sometime... haha. - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 250GB Seagate 7200.10RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 |

| Yeah, that's what I'm thinking... Well, hopefully this is the start of an nVidia/ATI battle and we'll see some major price drops. ![]() Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 + Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme DFI Blood Iron P35-T2RL + Thermalright HR-05 IFX 2GB G.Skill 800MHz F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320MB Silverstone Decathlon 650W Western Digital 250GB SATA II |
