Default The future of AMD ATI GPU's?

Does anyone know of any rumors or tech specs leaks for the new AMD ATI cards? Do they have anything in the works for Q1 of 2007??

I have not heard anything.

What I would like to see in the future is a socketed video card similar to motherboards, letting the user upgrade the GPU and ram.

The thing I'm worried about is prices. Always that big premium for the latest and greatest.

It'll be interesting though, since AMD and nVidia have been subpeoned for monopolizing lately.

Yeah, like every every other manufacturer of computer parts doesn't charge a premium for the high end stuff

Which mean I don't know what ATi will do about prices, if they release the card at the usual prices it will only raise suspicions.

From what I've heard...
512bus
80nm
GDDR4
12layer PCB

Nothing official yet, though.

I saw the point, just that the whole thing against AMD and nVidia is ridiculous. I don't see any plans in the future of them lowering the price for the high end stuff.

On the Inquirer they said something about 2GB of RAM.Which is really retarded for a video card.
