| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | Your videocard is most likely downclocking to save power, as 300W, even from a reliable manufacturer, is definitely less than ideal. PSU aside, what do you consider "very low graphics," both in terms of visual quality settings and screen resolution? Have you installed the latest drivers from nVidia? If you upgraded from an nVidia card, did you thoroughly clean out the old drivers, a la DriverCleaner? Regardless, your first order of business should be to get a beefier PSU for those system specs... |

A low powered or low quality PSU is always a suspect. However, this may not necessarily be the problem. Check your drivers firstly. Then consider getting a new psu (best going for something 450w+ with a decent outage on the 12v rail like 30 Amps+). Don't bother with "value" brands; I made that mistake once... Go for something decent. Personally I have a Hiper R-series 530W. It cost me £49 is truly excellent in design, looks and performance.

| I'm Diggin it! | One4 is right on with his advice, as usual. Did you plug the power connector into the card? My 7800GS in my old AMD rig had the 7800GS video card and it performed very well in all games. I strongly suspect that your power supply simply can't deliver the power needed to properly run your video card. As mentioned before, buy yourself a good, quality PSU and you should see a huge difference.
