| I'm on a school computer, one's recently donated to the school. They are fairly good computers, Dell, 1.4ghz P4 and stuff, but the video cards have no drivers installed...so all I get are 16 colors and 800x600.... But I have no idea what cards they have really, all the computers knows is that it is ATI AGP Graphics with 16MB SGRAM, 64-bit accelerator... I have no idea what to do next, any suggestions? Actually, scratch that on the specs...it's actually a 4x AGP Graphics with 64 MB SGRAM and 64-bit accelerator...And the computers are running on Windows 2000 Pro.. I am currently running on a Dell lattitude Laptop with a pentium III 733MHz processor. This is Temporary as I save money to build a good computer. Last edited by gvblake22; April 17th, 2007 at 17:56. | T-Rex | Open it, take a look. Write any number you can see on the card on a piece of paper. Use google. :P It can be anything honestly, but I suspect it's a Radeon 7000. Catalyst 6.2 is what you need. Catalyst® 6.2 Display Driver for Windows 2000 |

Probably GeForce 2 era. The 93.71 should do it. But for a sure shot, the 61.77 are for you. (Just incase you have a TNT2 or such)

Being a p4 it may be a ti4200 64mb card! About 3 years ago, I picked up a couple of these oem cards and they are pretty decent cards, but install the 61.77 drivers just in case. You can always update the drivers if it is the ti4200!

| Functional Alcoholic | Go to dell and put in the Service Tag #, as long as the video card is the original one, they will have a driver for it. It won't be the most current driver, but it will be verified to work in that machine. Another alternative is to do a windows update they will have a driver. Thats what I do for my Quadpro2. |

| Functional Alcoholic | Not necessarily, that Quadro2 can be picky, I have never gotten a Geforce Driver to work with it. Windows update should pick up the right driver for it. It does for me every time. |
