Default dark video graphics

I recently reinstalled windows on an upgraded system for a friend. All the graphics looked normal but I didn't specifically check videos (ie yourtube, filecabi.net, etc...)

He is telling me that all those videos are very dark and some even have a reddish tinge to them. I didn't do anything weird with the install and I know I installed the latest nvidia drivers for the video card (FX5200). I know its not a great card but for viewing videos it should be fine, especially since it was my previous HTPC card that I used for videos...

Anyway, the only thing left that I can think of is maybe some codec issues.

Any other ideas? and how about a suggestion for a codec pack that I can reinstall?

YouTube uses flash, so it's not a codec issue. I'd install older video drivers and see how it goes.

Actually on filecabi.net it only does it to some media player videos, and all of the flash videos work just fine.

Well... I reinstalled Media Player and the video drivers for him and it appears to be working fine.

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

I suggest reinstalling Media Player and the video drivers, after which I imagine it would work fine.

This is comedy!

I would rather read a NewEgg review than a [H] review
