Eh, who cares? I know from personal experience that ATI sucks :(

Well if they still give good products, it's not a bad thing.
However for all the "fame" ATI acquired, I say it's rather stupid to dump the name.

AMD isn't exactly an unknown name ;-) But I agree. And hopefully AMD will come up with something better than that silly CrossFire crap.

My point exactly. Why would anyone in their right mind use huge external cables when SLI is all internal? Not to mention the fact that SLI mobos are much more ubiquitous...

I totally agree with that. the name grew to be a giant. it's like dropping the rolls royce name in cars... :shock:

I don't see the problem. There's already billions of cables connected to my computer. Besides you don't need to open your computer if you want to remove it.

To each his own. The debate is irrellavent and off-topic.

I'm curious to see what AMD has in store for ATI. I have no idea why they'd collaborate. Perhaps AMD will start making better GPUs. I've always wondered why they don't just stick regular CPUs on graphics cards.
