Default Buy an x1950 pro? or wait...

Hi guys/gals.

I have saved up quite a bit of money from christmas and my weekly allowances. While searching anitec and ncix, I saw that the x1950 pro is only ~240 dollars. I'm tempted to get this to replace my 7800 GT. Do you think I should wait for better dx10 cards to come out and buy those? or just get this card. Although I usually don't splurge, I'm tempted to go for the 8800 GTS.

EDIT:
I have 655 dollars. I'd like to save some.

Yea. I think I'll wait for an R600. Do you think they will release their midrange cards at launch? How big of a powersupply would I need?

wow. It's even planned to launch by the end of this year. I'll just wait a couple months.

I would wait until the DX10 cards come out. That way, you will be covered if you ever intend to upgrade to Vista and want to take advantage of the DX10 technology it offers. If you buy that x1950 now (DX9), you would only have to go and spend more money down the road for a DX10 videocard to replace it. Sure, DX10 cards now are expensive, but in the long run, you will only be saving yourself some cash in the end.

I reccomend that you take a look at THIS thread for similar advice and information.
