| T-Rex | ATI is no longer going to put stock coolers on the reference cards that they ship to their AIB partners by default. The AIBs can decide to receive the cards with stock coolers from ATI if they want to, but that will no longer be the norm. This could mean that we will see some really neat cooling solutions on future ATI cards. You can read about this wonderful news here. via gpureview.com Interesting news, can't wait to see what they will come up with. Is HIS going to push the extravaganza even more since now even "cheaper" partners can put their coolers on ATI cards? |

| Modder-ator | This is cool because I think it might mean slightly lower priced cards (but probably not). But if the companies still have the option to buy the stock coolers, then they will probably continue to do that since it is cheap and it is what they have been doing. If they wanted to design and use a cooler of their own, I'm sure those companies would have done it already (like HIS and Asus). Regardless, I do hope that companies take a step forward and start making some creative coolers. |

| I would think that we'll see some unique cooling solutions because it will give the company that does that a selling point that others don't have. Nvidia might follow suit if it becomes popular also. |
